Fiuggi and its thermal baths

In Frosinone, there is a place particularly renowned for its wellness spas: Fiuggi is a city with a romantic atmosphere, a retreat dedicated to relaxation, and renowned for its well-being waters. What to see in Fiuggi

Fiuggi is a spa town located in the westernmost part of Ciociaria, in the province of Frosinone, and just 50 km from Rome. The city is divided into two parts: the medieval village and the historic center are located on a hill at 750 meters, while the new city or Fiuggi Fonte, Fiuggi Terme, is located further down, 500 meters high.

The most interesting monuments are located in Fiuggi Vecchia: you can visit Palazzo Falconi inside a room dedicated to Napoleon and frescoed by an anonymous painter. It was thought that Napoleon would pass through here, but this did not happen. Here are the churches of Santo Stefano and Santa Maria del Colle, but don't miss a visit to the Collegiate Church of San Pietro Apostolo built in 1617.

Once the visit and the walk-in in Fiuggi Vecchia have ended, the time has come to restore body and spirit in one of the Spas in Fiuggi Terme. These spas offer all possible comfort and you can also stay in hotels and dine inside, perhaps sipping glasses of beneficial Fiuggi water. It is said that the water of Fiuggi was used since the Middle Ages and that Michelangelo himself brought it to find relief from his problem of calculations. The water of Fiuggi is indicated to restore the balance of the urinary tract. Worth seeing is the Source of Boniface VIII, the famous Pope of Anagni, who used to go here for the beneficial effects of the water. You can still admire the Liberty-style entrance portico designed by the architect Garibaldi Burba. The Liberty style of Fiuggi is very famous and appreciated, this area has always been a holiday resort for the wealthy gentlemen from the city who took advantage of the beneficial effects of water here.
