Roundwood Caravan and Camping Park is situated in the heart of the Wicklow Mountains, in a village called Roundwood. This is a modern campsite, offering great services for a holiday immersed in nature. From the Mountains to the Irish Sea, Wicklow is blessed with some of Ireland’s most amazing sceneries. The Wicklow Hills offer the largest mountain area in Ireland, providing numerous walks in the area including the Wicklow Way, the walking trails of Glendalough and the Vartry Lake walks beside the park.
The site offers hard-standing pitches equipped with an electricity supply, ideal com motorhomes and caravans. There is also a tent grassy area, near all the facilities needed for a carefree holiday.
Many good facilities will be at your disposal during your stay: toilets blocks, hot showers, electric hookups, a good shop with essential products and food, a barbecue area for lovely moments with your family, and friends, a fun play area for the kids, a campers kitchen equipped with cooking utensils, a dining room, a TV lounge for chill moments, and a laundry area with washing machines. The site also offers camping gas and calor gas on sale. To make it easier to explore the area, there is a daily bus service to and from Dublin, which is located only 50 minutes away. Wifi connection is available around the campsite. The campground has 24h security, and at the reception, you will find friendly staff willing to help you with any information needed.
You will be camping in a perfect base for touring, cycling, hill walking, fishing, horse riding, and much more. The village where the park is situated is 238 meters above sea level this, is the highest village in Ireland and is surrounded by some spectacular scenery. The Vartry Reservoirs nearby supply fresh water to the suburbs of Dublin and enhances the scenery as it mirrors the surrounding hills. It is also particularly popular for anglers and walkers. The village features some charming pubs and restaurants, and it is worth a visit. Besides that, the fact that it is not necessary to cross Dublin city to get to Roundwood makes Roundwood Caravan Park the most conveniently situated park to Dublin Port (30km – 45 min approx) and Dun Laoghaire (20km – 30 min approx).
